Message from the CEO

In December 2015, I started a new journey in my career when I took the reins of AMCHAM Jamaica to become its Chief Executive Officer.

This organisation, with such a rich heritage and its track record of successes with access to an international network of 116 AmChams across the world, proved to be stimulating and remarkable as many avenues opened up to engage our members and to help their businesses grow.

What is particularly exciting and refreshing was the renewed energy, passion and vision that is within the Chamber.

Today, we are on the cusp of our Annual General Meeting and with the evolving business landscape in Jamaica, we will truly leverage the global AmCham brand and its network to drive the growth of our members’ businesses.

The process has started with the signing of some significant partnerships, including giving our members full benefits of being U.S. Chamber ofCommercemembers.

Just a few weeks ago, we announced our partnership with Launchpad USA - a product of AmCham Finland - to provide our members who are interested in expanding their business in the USA with expert advice and the right connections in the North American market.

Our business events have become a staple in corporate Jamaica and with this, has come significant opportunities for our membership as through these networking activities, many have cemented business deals, while increasing their network, propelling the growth of their businesses.

Wewill continue to champion our mandate of increasing FDI and trade for Jamaica by 2018 and will surely continue to expand our network, providing more linkages and opportunities for our members globally.

When you have access to a network of global business people with common interests of trade and development, plus linkages and business opportunities in sixty (60) countries across the world, there are countless opportunities that become available.

I amhere to help lead the charge and pioneer the change!

We will increase awareness of the many AmCham benefits so our members’ experience at an economical level will be more impactful through cost saving and revenue growth.
