Strengthening Trade, Investment, and Innovation Since 1986
The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica was established in May 1986, in Kingston, under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America and the Association of American Chambers of Commerce of Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA).
The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AMCHAM Jamaica) has a rich history, rooted in facilitating trade and investment between Jamaica and the United States. Established in 1986 in Kingston, AMCHAM Jamaica was formed under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America and the Association of American Chambers of Commerce of Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA) to support stronger economic ties between the two nations, providing a platform for Jamaican and U.S. businesses to collaborate, innovate, and drive economic growth.
Throughout the years, AMCHAM Jamaica has grown into a pivotal organization, fostering partnerships, advocating for policy reforms, and offering members exclusive opportunities for networking and business development. The organization works closely with both the Jamaican government and U.S. entities to create a business-friendly environment, helping to navigate regulatory frameworks, address trade barriers, and encourage foreign direct investment in key sectors.
AMCHAM Jamaica also plays an active role in community and social responsibility initiatives, promoting sustainable business practices and supporting programs that uplift communities across the island. Through its networking events, conferences, and educational programs, AMCHAM Jamaica has established itself as a cornerstone for advancing trade, investment, and bilateral relations between Jamaica and the United States.
The Chamber continues to evolve, with a focus on innovation, digital transformation, and building resilient trade partnerships that can withstand global economic shifts. Its longstanding commitment to bridging U.S. and Jamaican business interests remains essential in fostering economic prosperity for both nations.
